About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the California Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS-PD) for a statewide contract for Self-Supporting Steel Communications Towers. The objective of the RFI is to gather information about current market conditions, product availability and design flexibility, and to identify potential manufacturers and suppliers. The resulting contract from the future competitive solicitation will be a mandatory contract for the State of California and local government agencies, with an estimated value of $500,000 per year over a 3-year term, with seven 1-year extension options. Interested suppliers are requested to complete the RFI response workbook, which includes sections for bidder information, a product questionnaire, and a product list, and submit it by August 19, 2024.
The RFI includes a product list with various standard, high wind, and high snow tower configurations, as well as related components and accessories. Suppliers are asked to provide pricing, discounts, and other information related to these products. The contract will also include non-core catalog items, with a proposed 30% discount from the manufacturer's list price. Delivery requirements and mileage rates for different geographic regions in California are also specified in the RFI.
