About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from the state regarding Modular Systems Furniture (MSF) task lights. The state is requesting information on the LED and fluorescent task lights that vendors offer for use with their tile and frame modular system furniture products sold within California. Specifically, the state is asking for details on desktop and under cabinet task lights with articulating arms. Vendors are asked to provide technical information sheets on the lighting products and indicate if the offered LED lights are certified to the California Energy Commission's (CEC) Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20).
The RFI also asks vendors to confirm if their task lights meet the minimum technical requirements of the Title 20 regulations, even if they are not currently certified. This suggests the state is interested in understanding the energy efficiency capabilities of the available lighting options, as required under California's appliance efficiency standards.
