About this file
This document is a Bidder Response Form for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Weather Forecasting & Analysis Services contract. The form requires potential vendors to provide detailed information about their capabilities in delivering comprehensive weather forecasting and data services. Key requirements include having at least three consecutive years of industry experience, providing qualified meteorological staff, offering website and mobile app capabilities for weather information, and maintaining 24/7/365 customer support with a toll-free line to a dedicated meteorologist.
The response form seeks vendors who can integrate complex weather data systems, including future radar, pavement and flooding forecasts, and compatibility with existing Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS), Weather, AVL/GPS, and traffic systems. Bidders must disclose any bankruptcies, litigation, or contract defaults from the past five years and demonstrate their technical capabilities through detailed attachments describing personnel qualifications, website functionality, mobile app features, customer support protocols, and an online communication forum with rapid response times. The form is structured to comprehensively evaluate potential vendors' technical expertise and operational readiness to support MassDOT's weather forecasting needs.
