QUIET PROFESSIONALS
DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
HEADQUARTERS AIR FORCE SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND
MEMORANDUM FOR HEADQUARTERS AFSOC PERSONNEL
FROM: AFSOC/COS
100 Bartley Street, Command Suite Hurlburt Field FL 32544
SUBJECT: Calendar Year 2022 Holiday Planning Guidance
1. This memorandum identifies HQ AFSOC observed Holidays and associated non-duty days for the period of January to December 2022.
2. As an Air Force MAJCOM, HQ AFSOC follows duty day planning guidance that is service specific, in addition to USSOCOM planning guidance. Subject to mission requirements, HQ AFSOC will observe USSOCOM Holiday and Safety Days for CY 2022 as indicated within the attached. USSOCOM Safety Day, is an observed non-duty day, normally associated with a holiday.
3. Military members are authorized a day off. Supervisors are reminded that a 96-hour pass is the maximum authorized for military personnel. Government civilians must take leave, compensatory time, credit hours, or some other authorized absence approved by their supervisors.
4. In accordance with USSOCOM Regulation 380-9, Industrial Security Program, contractors are not authorized to open/close facilities, activate/deactivate alarms, or conduct office end-of-day security checks as these are inherently governmental functions, unless previous accommodations have been coordinated within the respective Directorates.
In those situations that require continued contractor support during holidays and safety days, or after normal duty hours, directorates are required to ensure a mechanism is in place to provide contractor access to facilities.
