About this file
This is a Pricing Schedule for hazard tree services at a National Park Service location. The contract encompasses seven base tasks and four options involving tree removal, pruning, and flattening across multiple park areas, with delivery dates of April 25, 2026, or 365 days after Notice to Proceed. Base tasks include: removing 49 trees (Task 10), pruning 254 trees (Task 20), flattening 20 trees (Task 30), removing 40 trees along park roads (Task 40), pruning 160 trees along park roads (Task 50), and flattening 55 trees along park roads (Task 60). Task 70 provides emergency tree services on an as-needed basis at an all-inclusive hourly rate, with a not-to-exceed quantity of 40 hours and 24-hour response availability, covering labor, supervision, equipment, tools, fuel, and mobilization/demobilization costs. The schedule specifies that emergency services must be documented on daily work logs and verified by the Contracting Officer prior to invoicing, with payment limited to hours actually used.
The four options provide additional services: Options 1-3 replicate the emergency tree services structure with identical 40-hour NTE limits and hourly rates, while Option 4 involves processing piled logs into firewood with specific size requirements (16"-18" long, 8" diameter maximum), requiring use of a conveyor belt and contractor responsibility for site restoration and equipment selection to minimize soil damage. Work must be completed by April 20, 2026. A separate Option involves removing, pruning, and flattening trees along Route 77, requiring Maryland State Highway lane closure permits. The pricing schedule notes that the total FFP (Firm Fixed Price) is $0.00, indicating this is a template awaiting contractor pricing input. The contract involves the Department of the Interior National Park Service and requires contractors to disclose any revenues from wood sales and refrain from using the park name for advertising products.
