About this file

This document is an Object Naming Submittal Template for a GSA Region 8 Building Automation System (BAS) contract. The template provides guidelines for contractors/vendors to submit standardized object names for various BAS components, including control points, setpoints, and trends, to comply with the GSA Data Normalization for Building Automation Systems standard. It includes fields for the contractor to provide the existing object name, object description, object type, engineering units, proposed object name, trend log configuration, alarm settings, and remote notification requirements. The GSA OFM BAS team will review the submissions and provide comments and approval status. Failure to conform to GSA standards may result in additional costs for the contractor.

The related federal contract opportunity is for the replacement of cooling equipment in ADP Room 317 at the Federal Building in Huron, South Dakota. The work includes removing an existing ceiling-mounted packaged cooling unit and installing a new 2-ton direct expansion split system. This is a new requirement with no incumbent information provided. The solicitation number is 47PJ0024R0129, and the contracting agency is the General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Region 8.
