About this file
This document contains a request for technical literature related to a federal solicitation for tractors. The solicitation seeks two John Deere 5100E Farm Four Wheel Drive Tractors and two John Deere 6R120 Row Crop Four Wheel Drive Tractors or equivalent models meeting all salient characteristics. The farm tractors will be used to improve grounds maintenance and the row crop tractors for rough terrain maintenance at the Anniston Army Depot. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside procurement under North American Industry Classification System code 333111. Bidders must provide with their bids descriptive literature previously used to market the tractors describing how requirements in paragraphs 3.1 through 3.2.6 of the specification are met. Literature must address engine, drive train, auxiliary hydraulics, drawbar, console information and warning lights, and cab for each model. Manuals and warranty information must also be included. Failure to provide literature demonstrating compliance with requirements may result in bid rejection.

Request for Technical Literature
A. The bidder shall provide, with its bid, descriptive literature that has previously been used to market the Tractors. The literature will be used to technically evaluate the bid and shall describe how the tractors meet requirements of the specification; specifically the paragraphs:
Ref. Paragraph Information Furnished
3.1, 3.2 Requirements
3.1.1, 3.2.1 Engine
3.1.2, 3.2.2 Drive Train for Each Model
3.1.3, 3.2.3 Auxiliary Hydraulics
3.1.4, 3.2.4 Drawbar
3.1.5, 3.2.5 Console Information/Warning Lights
3.1.6, 3.2.6 Cab
6.1 Manuals
6.4 Warranty
b. The features, which must be addressed in the descriptive literature, are necessary to consider the bid responsive.
If the bidder’s preprinted literature does not show all these features, the bidder must attach a letter of supplemental information to the literature describing in detail those required features.
c. The failure of descriptive literature to show that the product offered conforms to the requirements of this solicitation will require rejection of the bid.
Conditions’, or ‘prices are subject to change without notice’ shall not be considered for an award. The government has no assurance the products offered will conform to the specification; therefore, the bid is not considered a firm bid and will not be considered for an award.
