MFT 21-21 - Travis AFB Wi-Fi requirement.

14 Oct 2020 site visit.

Question: 60th Operations Support Squadron – Building 4. Does Wi-Fi need to extend to the terminal side?

Answer: Yes. Wi-Fi is to go slightly past the offices.

Question: Is 70/79 ARS still located in building 185?

Answer: 70/79 ARS has moved to building 250. We were unable to locate the building. The requirement for 70/79 ARS is coming off this requirement for now.

Question: 60 Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron – Building 241. Do we need to provide appliances?

Answer: The hardware is to be provided by the user. The required effort is for the connection only.

Question: 60 Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron – Building 241. Do the walls have studs?

Answer: The walls have steel studs.

Question: 60 Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron – Building 241. Where is the connection to the base fiber?

Answer: The connection is in the communication closet on the 2nd floor.

Question: Do any of the buildings have lead or asbestos?

Answer: To our knowledge, there is no lead or asbestos in any of the buildings. If you do discover lead or asbestos, you are to stop work immediately and report your findings 60 CONS.

Question: What are the normal scheduled hours?

Answer: A typical schedule is 0730 to 1630, however, some organizations work 24/7.

Question: What are the restricted frequencies that the connections are not allowed to use to avoid interruptions with ELMR?

Answer: There are no restrictions.
