About this file

This document is a Sole Source Justification and Approval under FAR to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to GasTOPS for the ChipCHECK CC121, a field deployable analytical wear debris analysis tool. The 162nd Wing at Morris ANG Base in Tucson, Arizona has a requirement for this tool to address maintenance issues, as their current JetSCAN unit is obsolete. The sole source is justified due to the proprietary and specialized nature of the ChipCHECK CC121, which can only be produced and maintained by GasTOPS. Market research indicated no other sources could provide the same capabilities. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS code 336413, with a quote due date listed in the associated solicitation W50S6S24Q0027. No option years are included, and the requirement will be funded with FY 2024 AFREP funds.
