About this file

This document outlines the salient characteristics for a three-dimensional (3D) printer system consisting of a resin-based 3D printer, wash station, and curing system. The system must be capable of printing prototype and functional parts at resolutions up to 7K in various resin materials with layer thicknesses between 50-200 microns. Additional requirements include a build volume over 10.5x6x15.5 inches, print speeds up to 1Z cm/sec, and compatibility with STL file formats. The vendor must also provide installation, training services at the USGS facility in Tuscaloosa, AL, and an optional yearly service/maintenance contract covering priority support, preventative maintenance, upgrades, and recalibration. The related federal contract opportunity is from the Department of the Interior USGS Office of Acquisitions and Grants to procure one resin 3D printer system under solicitation 140G0124Q0008.
