About this file

This document is a Request for Technical Literature for an X-Ray Tube as part of a federal contract opportunity for a new 450Kv X-Ray System. The bidder is required to provide descriptive literature previously used to market the X-Ray Tube, which will be evaluated to determine if the offered product meets the specification requirements covering the X-Ray Tube's specifications and salient features, general requirements, safety and health requirements, delivery, handling, storage, installation, training, removal, manuals, and warranty. Failure of the descriptive literature to demonstrate conformance with the solicitation requirements will result in bid rejection, as the government cannot assure the products offered will meet the specification. The related federal contract opportunity is for a new 450Kv X-Ray System, including installation and removal of the old system, to be procured by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal.

Request for Technical Literature

A. The bidder shall provide, with its bid, descriptive literature that has previously been used to market the X-Ray Tube. The literature will be used to technically evaluate the bid and shall describe how the X-Ray Tube meets requirements of the specification, specifically the paragraphs:

Ref. Paragraph Information Furnished

4.- 4.3.6 Specifications and Salient Features

5.0 – 5.9 General Requirements

6.0 – 6.7 Safety & Health Requirements

10.0 Delivery, Handling, Storage, Installation, Training & Removal

11.1 Manuals

13. Warranty

b. The features, which must be addressed in the descriptive literature, are necessary to consider the bid responsive.

If the bidder’s preprinted literature does not show all these features, the bidder must attach a letter of supplemental information to the literature describing in detail those required features.

c. The failure of descriptive literature to show that the product offered conforms to the requirements of this solicitation will require rejection of the bid.

Conditions’, or ‘prices are subject to change without notice’ shall not be considered for an award. The government has no assurance the products offered will conform to the specification; therefore, the bid is not considered a firm bid and will not be considered for an award.
