About this file
This is a Request for Technical Literature document for Pillow Block Bearings required by the Department of the Army Materiel Command. The document outlines requirements for bidders to submit descriptive literature and blueprints that demonstrate how their proposed bearings meet specifications detailed in paragraphs 3.0-3.2 (General Requirements), 4.0 (Additional Information), and engineering drawings 1 and 2.
The document specifies strict requirements for bid submission, including that bidders must supplement any preprinted literature with detailed letters if required features are not shown, and that bids containing conditional language about specifications or pricing changes will be rejected. Bidders submitting product catalogs must clearly highlight or mark the specific items being bid, including model numbers and page numbers in Section B. The reasonable delivery timeframe is stated as 8 weeks. Bids that fail to clearly establish which items are being offered or do not meet the technical literature requirements will be considered nonresponsive.

REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL LITERATURE
Pillow Block Bearings
A. The bidder shall provide, with its bid, descriptive literature and blueprints that has previously been used to market the proposed Pillow Block Bearings. The literature will be used to technically evaluate the bid and shall describe how the Pillow Block Bearings meets requirements of the specification; specifically the paragraphs listed in the table below.
Information Furnished Ref. Paragraph(s)
General Requirements 3.0, 3.1, 3.2
Additional Information 4.0
Blueprints Engineering drawing 1 and 2
B. The features, which must be addressed in the descriptive literature, are necessary to consider the bid responsive. If the bidder’s preprinted literature does not show all these features, the bidder must attach a letter of supplemental information to the literature describing in detail those required features.
C. The failure of descriptive literature to show that the product offered conforms to the requirements of this solicitation will require rejection of the bid.
D. Descriptive literature furnished under this solicitation that contains statements similar to
‘specifications are subject to change without notice’, ‘bid is subject to the following conditions’, or ‘prices are subject to change without notice’ shall not be considered for an award. The government has no assurance the products offered will conform to the specification; therefore, the bid is not considered a firm bid and will not be considered for an award.
E. Bidders who furnish a product catalog to satisfy this requirement must indicate which item is the subject of the bid by citing (highlighting, marking, etc.) model numbers and page numbers from the catalog in Section B of the solicitation along with the bid price. Bids that fail to clearly establish what item or items are bid will be considered as nonresponsive.
