GRANDFATHER RANGER DISTRICT MOWING CONTRACT
DISTRICT OFFICE, MORTIMER CAMPGROUND AND CURTIS CREEK CAMPGROUND
Scope of Contract
Contractor will furnish all equipment and labor to perform landscape maintenance on the Grandfather Ranger District in accordance with the Statement of Work, terms and conditions of this Request for Quote and the terms and conditions of the resultant contract.
Statement of Work
Mowing and weed trimming will be performed on each site on a bi-weekly basis (every 2 weeks) from April 15 through October 15 with debris (i.e. limbs and incidental debris including leaves and grass clipping) removal. All grass is to be mowed or trimmed to a 2.5 inch height. Caution should be taken to avoid weed-eater damage to trees and wooden barriers.
Additionally, all developed space inside each area will have leaf and debris removal on each site on a bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) basis during leaf-fall season which is normally in September to October. Leaf litter will be able to be blown just off site.
Bi-weekly means that each site must be visited and necessary maintenance performed at least once every two weeks.
Remove all natural and non-natural debris from the grounds each bi-weekly visit. All garbage will need to be removed before mowing.
Due to typical recreational use patterns, Monday thru Thursday will be the acceptable work period with some discretion as COR deems acceptable.
Extra caution may be required if work is being performed in occupied recreational areas. At Curtis Creek and Mortimer Campgrounds, when single camp sites are occupied and the contractor can’t mow, the site will need to be revisited at the next available opportunity to complete the work.
Contractor must furnish all equipment and supplies to complete work as described.
Specifics Per Site
See the attachments for graphics of each of the three sites that will be included in this contract.
Sites included for bid will be Grandfather District Office, Mortimer Campground and Work Center, and Curtis Creek Campground
These sites are located on the Grandfather Ranger District.

This work would need to be done in a timely manner. The entire campground would need to be done in the same time period. To leave one area from one week to another would not be acceptable. Use of a commercial mower would be a necessity due to the size of the area, and the time to complete. Mowers and weed-eaters would have to be safe to operate and have all safety equipment. The contractor will have to work with campers in order to be able to mow all the area in a timely manner and this may mean that the contractor has to return to the site in order to clean up an area that was skipped due to number of tents in one area.
