About this file

This is an Industry Question and Answer (Q&A) Matrix template used by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Detachment 7 (AFRL Det 7/SST) to collect formal questions, comments, and recommendations from industry partners regarding the ASTROS II (Aerospace Systems Technical Research & Operations Support Services II) draft acquisition documents. The template is part of RFI #4 and requires industry respondents to submit follow-up questions resulting from an Industry Day held on July 23, 2026, at Edwards Air Force Base, along with responses to a separate Systems Engineering capability question.

Respondents must complete all required columns (Contractor name, Reference document/page/paragraph, Type of inquiry by Subject Matter Expert discipline, clear question or comment using strikethrough and underline formatting for proposed changes, and business/technical rationale) with each distinct inquiry submitted as an individual row. The template structure must remain unaltered in terms of column widths, cell formatting, and worksheet layout to facilitate consolidation of feedback from multiple sources. Industry submissions must be sent to the designated point of contact no later than July 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM PST, with late or non-compliant submissions not subject to review. The Government will consolidate all inquiries and publish formal responses on or before August 6, 2026. Columns 7 and 8 are reserved for government use only and contain the disposition decision (Accept, Reject, or Accept with Modification) and official government response with technical or contractual rationale.
