About this file
This document outlines a statement of need for a wireless intrusion detection system and the related federal contract opportunity. The statement of need calls for an all-in-one, portable wireless intrusion detection system that can continuously monitor the radio frequency spectrum between 25 MHz and 6 GHz, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, IoT, and cellular devices and networks. The system must provide real-time visualization and tracking of all radio frequency emitters, accurate geolocation mapped to floor plans, complete location and activity history, and open APIs for system integrations. Additionally, the system cannot contain any prohibited technologies and must be NIAP/Common Criteria certified and compliant with various wireless device security directives from NIST, DoD, CNSS, and NNSA. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number FA440723QCD03 from the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command for an AMC wireless intrusion detection system to meet this statement of need.

Statement of Need
• All-in-one, self-contained, deployable (portable, use in inside and/or outside environments, in various conditions) Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) that continuously monitors the RF spectrum detecting and locating RF/wireless emitters between 25 MHz and 6 GHz including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, IoT, and Cellular devices and networks while providing real-time-tracking for all signals/devices. System must be upgradable to detect new and emerging technologies, be 100% FCC certified passive, and provide detailed reporting on all devices. Must be able to setup and detect in an area up to approx. 20,000 Sq. Ft.
• The system can not contain/use any prohibited technology such as those we are trying to detect (RF signals, cellular, Bluetooth, Wireless, BLE, IoT, etc.):
• System must provide:
• Detailed analytics on every RF emitter
• Accurate geolocation mapped to floor plan
• Complete location and activity history
• Open API for system integrations into SIEM/SOAR
• Real-time visualization and tracking of all RF emitters and wireless transmissions
• Allow flexible policy which permits RF wireless personal, medical, performance, and mission electronics but detects rogue/unapproved devices
System must be/have:
• NIAP / Common Criteria Certification
• Compliant with NIST, DoD, CNSS & NNSA wireless device security directives
