1. SCOPE OF WORK:

PURCHASE AND INSTALL PROJECT: The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation and qualified personnel necessary to install two new 30 lb commercial washers and two new 30 lbs commercial dryers. The work will include removal and disposal of existing washer/dryer units and installation of new replacement units.

Contractor shall comply with regulations and laws in force. Contractor shall store their materials in designated areas as specified by Project Inspector or Representative. Period of performance shall be 30 calendar to allow material procurement, work completion and clean

up. This is a Brand name or equal requirement.

2. WORK SITE CONDITIONS

The Contractor is permitted to use reasonable quantities of available electricity and water at the work site. The Contractor shall alter characteristics and shall observe conservation practices at all times. All connections shall be the responsibility of the Contractor including restorations to initial conditions.

Interruption of utilities. Utilities shall not be interrupted until approval is received from the Contracting Officer. Any such need shall be requested in writing by the Contractor at least 10 days in advance of the needed interruption. Requests for utility interruption shall indicate the type of utility to be interrupted, the type of operation requiring the interruption, the date and duration. To the maximum extent possible interruption shall be scheduled on weekends or U.S.

holidays in order to minimize impact to base activities.

Authorized work hours and days. Performance of work here under shall be from Monday through Friday excluding holidays from 07.30 to 18.30 hours. Work during weekends or holidays may be requested by the Contractor with a minimum of 10 days advance notice, however the Contracting Officer has the right to deny such request if the reasons requiring weekend and holiday work are not valid or for security or other necessities. A proposal work schedule will be submitted by the Contractor for C.O. approval.

Toilet facilities in the vicinity of the work site shall be available for Contractor use. The Contractor shall use facilities in a manner to maintain their state of cleanliness and hygiene.

If welding is to be performed the Contractor shall ensure a welding permit is obtained from the Travis AFB Base Fire Department prior to performing welding operations.

The Contractor shall not use base refuse containers to discard debris. All construction debris shall be discarded by the Contractor off base at authorized sites according to category of debris/refuse in strict observance of all host country laws, decrees and local regulations in force.

The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring all personnel engaged in the performance of this contract observe all host country laws concerning safety.

At least 5 days prior to the pre-final inspection, the Contractor shall furnish to the Contracting Officer all installed equipment operation and maintenance documentation, certificates concerning installed systems as required by host country laws, test reports and results and as built drawings where required by host nation laws.

3. GENERAL NOTES

At the end of the work, the Contractor shall provide the Government with three copies of the following documents: for warranty call purpose, 3 copies of letter identifying project number, item, company address, phone number, point of contact, item warranty expiration date, etc.

The Contractor shall return all areas disturbed during construction to their original condition before final acceptance by the Government.

Housekeeping and Site Clean-up: At the end of each working day, the Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning of the area. Such functions include disposal of accumulated waste materials and rubbish and other operations necessary to present a neat appearance at all times.

Contractors shall ensure all light weight debris at the construction site is properly secured in waste receptacles so that it does not blow away to another area.
