About this file

This is a specifications document for a bulk liquid nitrogen supply contract with the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC), a USDA facility located at 844 Road 313, Clay Center, Nebraska 68933. The contract requires the contractor to provide liquid nitrogen on an as-needed basis to support the center's research in beef cattle (50% of effort), swine (30%), and sheep (20%) industries. The primary technical requirement is delivery of bulk liquid nitrogen to a 1500-gallon storage tank that contains valuable and unreproducible genetic material, with a standard delivery timeframe of 48 hours from request and emergency delivery capability within 24 hours. The contract period of performance is 12 months from award with four additional option years.

The Key Deliverables table specifies that 50% of storage tanks (full) must be delivered within one week of award, with the remaining 50% delivered within two weeks of award, phased in without disrupting operations. Ongoing performance will be measured by the contractor's ability to deliver liquid nitrogen per technical requirements within the expected delivery timeframe. The government point of contact is Lauren Theer, phone (402) 762-4285, lauren.theer@usda.gov. The document does not contain pricing terms, response dates, or set-aside information.
