About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details snow removal services for rental cabins located in the Glacier View and Hungry Horse Ranger Districts. The contractor is required to provide snow plowing and snowbank removal for five specific locations: Schnaus, Ford, Ben Rover, Wurtz cabins, and the Whale Creek/North Fork road junction parking area. Snow removal specifications include clearing road surfaces when snow accumulates to 6-8 inches using a tractor with a snow blower or a truck with a front-end plow, with services to be provided within 24 hours of notification from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
The SOW specifies that the contractor must ensure no snow berms or piles obstruct building access, and must provide a frontend loader with a minimum one-cubic-yard bucket capacity to remove snowbanks when normal plowing becomes insufficient. The contractor is responsible for all gas and oil for snow removal equipment. Exhibits A-E provide site-specific location maps for each cabin and parking area, showing road layouts, cabin positions, and adjacent structures like wood sheds and toilets. The contract requires coordination with the COR to determine appropriate snow removal methods based on specific snow conditions.
