General Information

1.0 Scope of Work

The USDA. ARS, Plains Area (PA), Edward T. Schafer Agricultural Research Center (ETSARC), Fargo, ND requires a qualified vendor with the capability and capacity to provide disposal services of mixed radiological and radioactive contaminated material for the USDA, ARS, PA, ETSARC facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations. Optimal would be a qualified vendor currently servicing the area with the capability to execute a milk-run pickup of radioactive waste that must include all labor, materials, tools, equipment, analysis, travel, transportation, containers, labeling, documentation, waste treatment, any necessary stabilization processing, disposal and support services required to categorize, package, transport, document and dispose of mixed radiological and radioactive contaminated material from USDA, ARS, PA, ETSARC, Fargo, ND facility.

2.0 Background

Requires the on-site packing, transportation, and disposal of accumulated radioactive waste from the site. The contractor must provide disposal services for mixed radiological and radioactive contaminated material for the USDA, ARS, PA, ETSARC facility located at 1616 Albrecht Blvd, Fargo, ND 58102. This facility is considered a Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) centered around agricultural research.

Contractor Requirements

3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks

A qualified vendor with the capability and capacity to provide disposal services of mixed radiological and radioactive contaminated material for the USDA, ARS, PA, ETSARC, Fargo, ND facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations. A qualified vendor servicing the area with the capability to execute a milk-run pickup.

Services must include all:

· Labor

· Materials

· Tools

· Equipment

· Analysis

· Travel

· Transportation

· Containers

· Labeling

· Documentation

· Waste Treatment

· Any necessary stabilization processing

· Disposal and support services required to categorize, package, transport, document and dispose of mixed radiological and radioactive contaminated material from the USDA, ARS, PA, ETSARC, Fargo, ND facility.

The current list of materials tagged for disposal are listed in Attachment (page four).

4.0 Government Furnished
