About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details inspection and overhaul services for a Main Feed Pump (MFP) Trip Throttle Valve for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The objective is to restore one MFP Trip Throttle Valve (TTV) assembly to Class A Condition, with the contractor responsible for receiving the valve from NNSY, performing an Observation & Inspection (O&I) inspection, providing a condition report, and recommending parts and services for restoration. The valve, weighing approximately 1,175 lbs, experienced operational failures including stem binding and bonnet misalignment during previous use.

The contract period of performance is from 9/30/25 to 12/31/25, with the contractor to uncrate, clean, inspect, reassemble, and bench test the valve at their facility. NNSY will handle shipping to and from the contractor's location. Specific technical references include drawing NP-723 Rev. H for the 10" dia oil cylinder and NP-722 Rev. J for the NPS 4 CL900 ANSI valve. The SOW includes detailed security requirements, base access procedures, and guidelines for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and potential classified information access.
