About this file
Summary
This is a Performance Work Statement for an annual service contract issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the MACSQuant Tyto Cell Sorter (unit #10447) located at the USDA-ARS Animal Disease Research Unit (ADRU) in Pullman, Washington. The contract requires the contractor to provide four integrated services: technical support service, preventive maintenance service, repair service, and software update service for the flow cytometry equipment.
The technical support service requires the contractor to provide troubleshooting assistance via telephone, email, or other communication channels on an as-needed basis, including resolving technical incidents, answering equipment questions, providing application development guidance, and determining when repair services are necessary. Preventive maintenance service must include at least one scheduled maintenance visit per year to perform assurance checks, complete required safety inspections, perform maintenance steps such as cleaning and component testing, and inspect and replace wearing parts. Repair service requires urgent response times of one hour by phone, one business day by email/chat, or two business days for on-site response for essential equipment parts; non-urgent repairs require one business day response by email or up to five days for on-site response. Software update service must be provided on a regular basis or at minimum once annually. The contractor must cover all travel costs to the service location. Key personnel must include a cell sorting/flow cytometry application scientist. Performance is assessed by the USDA Technical Point of Contact based on proper equipment functioning and contractor service reports, with non-compliance triggering a request for service correction.
