Dealers located more than 60 miles away must provide delivery to 301 Research Road, Beltsville, MD 20705. All seed must be available for pickup or delivery within 10 days of award. Deliveries are restricted to Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with the delivery point of contact to be determined at the time of award.

Field Corn Seed 2026

1.0 Specifications Description: Field Corn Seed

Variety and Quantity of Each:

Corn:

1. 42 Bags – 106 day maturity (+/- 2 days) (80,000 seeds per bag, @ 50 pounds per bag)

2. 40 Bags – 110 day maturity (+/- 2 days) (80,000 seeds per bag, @ 50 pounds per bag)

The awarded item is required to meet or exceed the following agronomic characteristics.

These characteristics are to include disease tolerance and resistance, relative maturity dates, and herbicide tolerance.

1. Good to excellent disease tolerance and resistance to tar spot, stalk rot, root rot, grey leaf spot

2. Seed should include above and below ground trait package for control of corn rootworm, corn earworm, Black and Western cutworm, common stalk borer, and non-BT seed blended in for refuge (RIB).

3. Relative maturity date of 106 day and 110 day (+/- 2 days)

4. Must include herbicide trait package for both Glyphosate (“Roundup Ready”) and

Glufosinate (“Liberty Link”) tolerance.

2.0 Location Pickup/Delivery Requirements:

If seed dealer is located within 60 miles of Beltsville, MD 20705 then pick up will be performed by USDA staff. If seed dealer is further than 60 miles from Beltsville, MD 20705 then delivery shall be provided by the dealer. Corn seed must be available for pickup or shipped to the Beltsville Facility within 10 days of award.

Deliveries must be made between M-F 7:00am-3:30pm
