About this file

This is a specifications document detailing the salient characteristics required for an Operating Room (OR) surgical table with integrated patient warming capabilities for the Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The table must support a weight capacity of 1,200 lbs when centered and 1,000 lbs in articulated positions, with dimensions of approximately 84 inches in length and 20-22 inches in width. The table shall feature comprehensive articulation capabilities including slide articulation up to 18 inches for C-arm compatibility, Trendelenburg/reverse Trendelenburg adjustment of 30 degrees, lateral tilt of 20 degrees, and multiple adjustable sections (back, leg, head, and flex/reflex) to enable various surgical positioning including supine, prone, lateral, lithotomy, and Fowler's positions.

The table must include operational features such as hand-held pendant control with pre-programmed positions, battery operation with rechargeable batteries for power outage continuity, manual override capability, and auto-level functionality. Construction materials shall consist of stainless steel and radiolucent composite materials to support imaging compatibility with C-arm and x-ray equipment while maintaining infection control standards. The table must allow 360-degree rotation, feature removable head, arm, shoulder, and leg sections for surgical modifications, include accessory mounting for a broad range of surgical attachments, incorporate a patient warming system with minimal footprint integration, and be designed with sealed surfaces to facilitate easy cleaning and withstand repeated sterilization processes.
