Project Square Baler – John Deere S200 Brand Name or Equal
General Information
1.0 Scope
The forage research program requires a small square baler to meet the demands of the expanding research program. This baler will perform work in smaller forage checks used in research.
Contractor Requirements
3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks
• 2 m wide high-capacity pickup
• Ability to produce small 14 x 18 in. square bales that range in length from 12 in. to 50 in.
• Heavy-duty knotters, chain driven
• Single grease bank to grease each knotter grease point
• Regular bale chute
• Dual PTO drive lines with intermediate pedestal bearing – 1-3/8 in. – 6 splines
• Front ball join hitch
• Extended tongue
• Mechanical bale tension
• Single acting hydraulic pickup lift device
• Feeding pre chamber with auger and fork
• Heavy-duty plunger head
• A safety stop to prevent the plunger head from hitting the feeder fork
• Must create well-shaped tight bales, high bale density capable
