About this file
This is a Specifications document for a federal procurement requirement by the Research, Education, and Economics (REE) Mission Area, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research. The requirement is for a Bruker Brand Minispec mq20 Upgradeable Variable Temperature Time-Domain Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Analyzer (TD-NMR) to be delivered to the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research located at 1815 North University Street, Peoria, Illinois 61604.
The contractor must provide a complete TD-NMR system meeting specific technical specifications including a 20 MHz transmitter, EMI-shielded and CE-conformed closed housing, programmer frequency range of 5-65 MHz with 1 Hz stepping, pulse programmer with 20 nanosecond timing resolution, and phase resolution better than 0.2 degrees. The system must include a 20 MHz probe assembly with 10 mm ratio probe featuring variable temperature capability from -5°C to 65°C, a thermostat bath (-20 to +150°C), pre-calibrated Solid Fat Content (SFC) calibration samples (0% to 70%), and an automated sample changer system compatible with existing TC3/TC6 baths. The deliverable must include a standalone Windows 11 computer with Minispec software (Automation Release 2.1 compatible), support for international standard methods (AOCS Cd 16b-93, AOCS Cd 16-81, ISO 8292, and IUPAC 2.150), and onsite installation, training, testing, and verification. The contractor must also provide shipping and import costs, with a minimum one-year warranty from completed installation.
