About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract dated February 12, 2026.
The contract requires the contractor to supply solid phase extraction columns and QuEChERS salt kits/packages used for chromatographic analysis to detect veterinary drug, pesticide, and contaminant chemical residues in the nation's food supply. Five specific products must be supplied: Clean Up C18 hydrophobic columns (Part No. CEC181M6), Clean Up anion exchange columns (Part No. CUPSA156), QuEChERS dispersive SPE cleanup kits in 2mL centrifuge tubes (Part No. CUMPS2CT), QuEChERS original extraction salts in mylar pouch format (Part No. ECQUVIN-MP), and QuEChERS original extraction salts in alternate mylar pouch format (Part No. ECQUUS8-MP2). Products must meet specified technical parameters including organic loading percentages, pore sizes, surface areas, and pore volumes. Delivery is required within 14 calendar days upon order receipt, typically placed once per fiscal quarter, to three USDA FSIS laboratories located in St. Louis, Missouri; Albany, California; and Athens, Georgia. Shipping and handling costs must be included in unit pricing or listed separately. The contractor must provide an annual cumulative order report in Microsoft Word, Excel, or accessible PDF format two weeks before each contract period ends. Project IDIQ for solid phase extraction columns and QUECHERS salts kits/packages
General Information
1.0 Scope of Work
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) requires solid phase extraction columns, QUECHERS salt kits, and QUECHERS salt packages used for the chromatographic separation of analytical compounds by chromatography/mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry in the form of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
2.0 Background
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), a public health regulatory agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), protects consumers by ensuring that meat, poultry, and egg products are safe, wholesome, and accurately labeled. USDA FSIS has three analytical laboratories (Eastern, Western, and Midwestern) that use the extraction columns and QUECHERS kits to check for veterinary drug, pesticide, and contaminant chemical residues within the nation’s food supply. These laboratories are operated under the Office of Public Health Safety (OPHS). The solid phase extraction columns, QUECHERS salt kits, and QUECHERS salt packages are used for extraction clean-up of samples. The columns separate out impurities from extracts based on molecular characteristics such as hydrophobicity and ionic interactions.
