Aluminum Oxide super sacks: SOW - # 40107003 & 40107004
Summary: Purchase of grit for PNS blasting operations.
1. Material: 24 Mesh Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Blast grit meeting MIL-A 22262 or equivalent.
2. Quantity: 24 each, super sacks “1-ton” (2,000lb) of grit.
3. Delivery:
3.1 Due to storage limitations, staggered delivery will be required. Delivery location is Building 337.
3.2 Requesting to order minimum quantities of 8 each super sacks (16,000lbs) per delivery, estimating 3 deliveries.
3.3 Schedule
Delivery Period Start: 1-19-2024 (or ASAP) Delivery Period End: 2-23-2024 (Not to Exceed 1 year)
3.4 Coordinating Delivery:
Morning deliveries are requested.
All deliveries must be coordinated and confirmed with the Project POC, prior to loading and dispatching a truck. All email communications must include the Project POC, and the Contract Specialist. Project POC will provide approximately a 5 business day notice prior to expected delivery. Project POC may initiate communication if additional changes are required.

3.5 Estimated Usage:
Regular usage estimated to be one (1) delivery of 8 sacks per week. During peak work schedule, estimated usage may be up to two (2) deliveries of 8 sacks in a week. There may be periods of one to two weeks, or more, where no deliveries are required.
3.6 Notional schedule (rough estimate only, for planning purposes only, subject to frequent change):
Upon contract award:
Week 1 – 8 sacks Week 2 – 8 sacks Week 3 – 8 sacks
3.7 Flexible Delivery:
Must have the ability to cancel and reschedule deliveries, or receive multiple deliveries in a week, as needed, until either delivery period end date, or a total of 24 sacks have been delivered. Changes can only be made by the Project POC, or the Contract Specialist. Shipyard will make good faith effort to provide as much notice as possible to avoid incurring fees. (Vendor to provide timeframe in which cancellation fees or other fees would be incurred. Vendor to provide hours of operation, delivery capabilities such as turnaround times and possible blackout dates i.e. driver or company vacations, holidays, etc. Allowing both parties to schedule proactively).
3.8 Pass Office/Security:
Pass office closes around 2:00pm; please allow time to get through Security.
Drivers must carry 2 valid forms of identification.
Trucks must be free of drips and leaks.
No weapons or illegal items (guns, drugs, paraphernalia, etc) are permitted on the Military installation.
