About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the 6th Air Refueling Squadron's requirement for 35 new Bose ProFlight Series II flight headsets for use on the KC-46A aircraft. The brand-specific procurement is authorized by AMC/A3V and requires headsets with specific technical characteristics, including a lightweight 4.5-ounce design, multi-level active noise cancellation, flexible cabling, FAA certification, and user-friendly controls. The headsets must have a six-pin LEMO plug, be compatible with both high and low impedance systems, and include two adapter plugs (six-pin to GA and six-pin to U174).

The contract specifies delivery within 60 calendar days after order receipt, with delivery to the 6th Air Refueling Squadron at Travis AFB, California. The headsets must meet several operational requirements, including compatibility with boom operator 3D glasses, ability to operate with one or two ears, FAA Technical Standard Order approval, and the option to disable Bluetooth. The contractor will provide the headsets with a standard manufacturer warranty, replacing any non-government-caused defects at no cost. The point of contact after award is Capt James Bradford.
