About this file

This is a Salient Characteristics attachment for a federal contract opportunity (70Z03826QE0000031) issued by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Air Station Miami. The USCG requires the procurement and delivery of two (2) Rigid Containment Systems designed to contain fuel trucks at Air Station Miami. The systems must meet minimum specifications including dimensions of 12 feet width by 40 feet length with a storage capacity of 5,600 gallons each. The containment systems must be constructed of painted steel to provide corrosion and petroleum resistance suitable for the marine environment.

The Rigid Containment Systems must be semi-permanent structures capable of relocation using either heavy-duty forklifts or small cranes, with both forklift lift points and crane lift hooks preferred to maximize equipment flexibility. Additional requirements include valve-style drainage caps on both ends for rainwater drainage, rainwater drainage points at both ends of each system, and ramp-style entry and exit points on both ends to accommodate fuel truck ingress and egress. Delivery must be made to Air Station Miami and includes crane service for offloading.
