About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details long-range off-road ground mobility training for the 57th Rescue Squadron (57 RQS), focused on enhancing operators' capabilities for rapid off-road mobility in Large-Scale Combat Operations. The training, scheduled for 2-6 June 2025 in the United States or NATO member countries, requires a service provider to deliver comprehensive instruction covering vehicle mechanics, off-road driving techniques, navigation, night operations, risk management, and team coordination. Key requirements include providing at least three expert instructors, 400 miles of diverse terrain across three locations (75% at 3,000+ feet elevation), 16 off-road 4x4 vehicles, classroom facilities, water crossing locations, and a dedicated medical evacuation plan.
The service provider must have a minimum of ten years of DOD training experience, provide a validated five-day course syllabus, and offer detailed metrics and certificates of completion. The 57 RQS will supply their own tactical clothing, night vision equipment, communications gear, and camouflage equipment. The training aims to address critical capability gaps in mobility tactics and procedures for pararescue operators, ultimately increasing member survivability and providing the Air Force with a multipurpose, ground-based force multiplier capability. The solicitation is issued by the 31 Contracting Squadron at Aviano AB, with a Request for Information (RFI) due on 14 April 2025 and quotes due on 16 April 2025.
