For the purpose of this document:

This will be referred to as the left side

This will be referred to as the right side

Height from bottom of door to top of bracket is xx”

Right edge aligns with door mounting hardware to clear our chosen toolboxes

This is the eyewash we chose.

Others will meet needs but we chose this style because it’s what the shop already has so for ease of maintenance

Hardware:

3- ¼”x1 ½”x20 bolts

3- ¼”x 20 NY lock nuts

6- ¼” flat washers

To mount:

- Determine desired location

- Mark 3 holes

- Drill ¼” hole through door

- Fill hole with RTV

- Install flat washer on bolts

- Insert bolts from outside

- Position bracket

- Install flat washer

- Install NY lock nuts

Left Wall

Bottom X-track:

Height from floor-37” Distance from tall wall-10”

Top X-track:

Height from floor-68 ½” Distance from tall wall-1 1/8”

Heights were determined by ensuring table height was same as opposite wall and table could be stowed while clearing underside of storage boxes

How to mount track:

Hardware:

14- #14x1/2” stainless self tapping screws per track

- Mark Holes

- Drill 13/64” pilot holes

- Lubricate and install screws

Right Wall

Bottom X-track:

Height from floor-37” Distance from tall wall-17 ¼”

Top X-track:

Height from floor-63 ¼” Distance from tall wall-8 ¼”

Heights were determined by ensuring table would clear seat stand (not pictured) and table would clear eyewash station while stowed/deployed

How to mount track:

Hardware:

14- #14x1/2” stainless self tapping screws per track

- Mark Holes

- Drill 13/64” pilot holes

- Lubricate and install screws

Building Tables

- Wood was cut to 46x22 1/2”

- Legs were attached to X-track

- Sheetmetal formed the aluminum table skins

Hardware (per table):

12- #6x1/2” screws 8- #12x1/2” screws

#6 screws mount the wood to the legs from underneath

#12 screws mount the metal to the wood

Ground Reel Aligned with top and inboard edge of beam it is mounted too

Mounting:

-Hardware- 4-#14x1/2” screws, 4-1/4” flat washers -Mark 4 holes -Drill 13/64” pilot holes -Install reel to wall with screws and washers

Ground Bar 4 3/4” from top X-track 35 1/4” from tall wall

Mounting:

-Hardware- 4-#14x1/2” screws -Mark 4 holes -Drill 13/64” pilot holes -Install reel to wall with screws and washers -All cables connect with crimp on eye-connecters and 1/4x1 ½” bolts and nuts

Right Table Ground Attachment

Hardware:

1/4x1 ½” bolt and lock nut

-Leave table top mount screw out of this location -drill through entire table with ¼” drill bit -Install bolt from underside and tighten

Allows use of clamp to attach to either table or seat ground point

Left Table Ground Attachment

Use crimp on eye connector and attach to table mounting screw

Ground Reel Attachment

-Remove paint from screw hole on reel bracket -Install using crimp on eye connector between screw and washer

Preparing Explosive Storage Boxes

2-1/4x1” bolts 2-1/4” lock washers 2-1/4” nuts

-Drill ¼” hole in top of 2 boxes -Remove paint -Install bolt from inside, install lock washer, install nut

3 cables are routed around top from bar. Use clamps as necessary to retain cables.

Clamps are mounted with #12 screws into a 11/64” pilot hole.

Cables continue using same mounting method.

2 are terminated with clamps to allow easy connection to boxes. 3rd is installed to table previously shown

Mounting Extinguishers

4- #14x1/2” Screws

-Position bracket -Mark holes -Drill 13/64” pilot holes -Install bracket

Left Extinguisher is against tall wall 45 1/2” above floor and as close to door as possible while retaining ease of use

Right Extinguisher is against short wall 17 1/2” above floor and as close to door as possible while retaining ease of use

Preparing duct work

2 rectangular holes must be cut to allow closeout panel latch operation (outlined in red)

1 notch must be made larger to allow wiring passage (outlined in yellow)

Mounting Duct

4-#6x1/2” self drilling metal screws

-Position duct as shown -Mark holes -Drill 7/64” pilot holes -Install with screws

Screw locations circled in red

Mounting Diffuser

6-#xx3/4” self drilling metal screws

-Position diffuser as shown -Mark holes -Drill 7/64” pilot holes -Install with screws

Screw locations circled in red

Prepping Diffuser

-Cut out 2 slats from each corner of the diffuser -Glue the 4 rectangular metal bars into the black duct (outlined in red). They will self center around the bolt hole and in a channel molded into the ductwork.

Fitting Outer, Removable Part of Unit

-Cut the foam connecting duct to a height of 2” -Place connecting duct over inner portion of ducting -Carefully place unit down onto ISU roof making sure the supply lines up with the connecting duct.

Note: When the ISU is prepped for shipment, the outer portion of the unit AND the connecting duct must be removed for the closeout panel to fit. The inner portions of the unit remain installed.
