About this file

This Request for Quote (RFQ) is for an actuated slide gate to replace stoplogs at the Yuma Desalting Plant's intake bypass in the Main Outlet Drain Extension (MODE) canal. The Bureau of Reclamation seeks a Rubicon SlipGate or equivalent with specific requirements: open seal, internal and external seals capable of holding flow in both directions, replaceable and adjustable seals, and dimensions to fit an existing 11' high x 7-3/4" deep x 7'-10 1/2" wide stoplog channel. The gate must have a minimum flow width of 78" and height of 83", be suitable for brackish groundwater, and include ceramic coating or equivalent corrosion protection.

The procurement includes a solar-powered gate, actuator, and controls with detailed specifications. The actuator must position the gate within 1/16", have thermal and torque protection, a manual override, and limit switches. Controls must support protocols like DNP3, Modbus, and TCP/IP, enable local and remote operation, and include integrated diagnostics. The supplier must deliver the preassembled gate, actuator, and controls to the Yuma Area Office within 365 days after order receipt, with a one-year warranty covering materials and workmanship. The estimated operating environment ranges from 32°F to 122°F in the MODE canal.
