STATEMENT OF WORK
Base Tree Removal and Trimming 30 June 22
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supervision, and equipment to remove trees at the locations indicated below. All work shall conform to specifications outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW). Point of contact for this project is: Devorah Irizarry, 60 CES/CEOES, (707) 424-3295.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. All work shall be performed during the hours of operation from 0700-1800 Monday through Saturday, excluding federal holidays. All debris will be removed by the contractor and grounds, sidewalks, parking lots, and streets will be kept in a neat/orderly condition.
2. Prior to tree removal, contractor will receive an Environmental Safety brief and any issue that may arise from the instruction of the brief will be reported immediately to the project POC.
3. Contractor is responsible for any damage done to the grounds, such as ruts in grass or damage to structures. Damages will be repaired before completion of work.
4. The contractor shall challenge any requirements in the SOW which are specifically in violation of the governing code. It is the contractor’s responsibility to comply with the local laws, codes, and regulations in the performance of the requirements of the SOW.
5. The contractor shall field verify all trees measurement and any other requirements before the start of work.
6. All trees identified as removal will stump grinded.
7. Trees identified as removal (stump grind) within a non-irrigated lawn will be grinded down 8 inches below the grounds surface and back filled with dirt and compacted to match existing ground grade. Trees identified for stump grind within an irrigated lawn must be grinded down 8 inches below the grounds surface and back filled with dirt and lay sod to match existing ground grade.
8. Trees identified as trim must be trimmed 8 feet up and around from the ground and 14 feet from any road. Trees that touch a building must be trimmed 3 feet clearance from the building. Palm trees are to be trimmed up to the first 90 degree limb, leaving no drooping limbs.
9. All stumps will be grinded down 8 inches below the surface of the ground.
10. Wood chips will be hauled off site that are in the interior of the base. Wood chips at the Union Creek location will be spread out not leaving mounds of wood chips.
11. Materials storage and clean up. Clean up and removal of all debris must be accomplished at the end of each day’s work.
12. Working conditions: Contractor shall perform work in such a manner as to cause minimum interference to facility and surrounding areas utilities:
13. Approved staging area for parking vehicles overnight will be in the parking lot directly west of fuel tanks on Hangar Ave.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:
All work orders will be completed within thirty days (30) days after receipt of NTP.
