About this file
This is a mandatory attachment document for proposal evaluation issued by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Marketing and Outreach Division, for Request for Proposal No. 260000001267 regarding the Carl T Johnson Hunt and Fish Center. The document requires contractors to demonstrate relevant experience by submitting detailed information on a minimum of five (5) interpretive display and exhibit projects completed within the last ten years. For each project, contractors must provide the project location, completion date, owner contact information, project description, size in square feet, projected budget, and final cost. Contractors must explain the relevance of each project to the Carl T Johnson Hunt and Fish Center Exhibit Project, describe their approach, detail the staff assignments and roles, and discuss engagement with project owners, committee planners, and stakeholders regarding cultural, economic, and environmental considerations, including storyteller recruitment efforts. Contractors must also document how their team completed tasks and met deliverables through photos and work product demonstrating project phases, plans, elevations, digital work, narratives, interpretive strategies, and completed exhibits.
The document specifies that all demonstrative information must be submitted as hard copies only, with attachments included in SIGMA VSS, as the system does not accept digital format submissions. Contractors are explicitly instructed not to mail proposals or provide documents in digital format, USB drives, or other digital media to the Solicitation Manager. For projects where final costs exceeded projected budgets, contractors must provide detailed explanations of cost overruns. Additionally, contractors should describe how interpretive plans were integrated within exhibits and identify any cultural or natural resources utilized, including features, signage, and playful learning components incorporated into the project designs.
