About this file
This document outlines the salient characteristics for three cable reels of 15 kV, 1/0 AWG EPR insulation primary underground cable and three cable reels of 600 V, 4/0 AWG XPLE insulation secondary service cable. The cables will be used to repair and replace existing electrical grid infrastructure at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. The primary cable must be rated for 15,000 volts and designed for underground duct bank installation. The secondary cable must be rated for 600 volts and suitable for underground duct bank installation for residential applications. The cables must comply with relevant industry standards such as the National Electrical Code and IEEE standards. This is in support of Solicitation Number FA441824Q0075 issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command.
