STATEMENT OF WORK

Remove and Install Exhaust System for Vehicle Bay - BLDG 15380 Work Task #7354967

SECTION 1: PROJECT INFORMATION

1.1 PROJECT LOCATION: Work Task #7354967 shall be completed as a routine requirement at or near building 15380 on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.

Project hours are standard work hours, Monday-Friday 0700-1600.

1.2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Remove and install exhaust system COMPATIABLE

WITH THE 60K TUNNER AIRCRAFT CARGO LOADER/TRANSPORTER.

SECTION 2: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

1.1 WORKMANSHIP: All work shall be accomplished in accordance with all applicable building and fire codes. Contractor shall field verify all measurements, quantities, or value stated by the Government. Liquidated damages shall be assessed for work that is not finished within the scheduled performance period.

1.2 WORKSITE: The contractor shall limit the work to the areas indicated by the government. The contractor shall make every effort not to disturb or obstruct portions of the facilities still occupied by the government. The contractor shall make efforts to minimize interference to Government operations. The contractor shall coordinate and schedule work with the b u i l d i n g 1 5 3 8 0 facility manager prior the start of any operation. The contractor shall dispose of all construction debris off base at an approved disposal facility.

1.3 SITE SECURITY AND PROTECTION: The contractor shall make every effort to secure the work site, allowing only authorized personnel to enter the work site. The contractor shall protect the site from damage from weather, vandalism, and/or theft.

1.4 DAMAGE TO EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS: The contractor shall be responsible to repair any and all damage incurred to existing Real Property/Grounds due to poor workmanship at no cost to the government. Contractor shall not park or drive on sidewalk or grassy/snowy areas. Damage incurred shall be repaired at no cost to the government.

1.5 HEALTH/SAFETY: The contractor shall be responsible for compliance with OSHA and AFOSH standards. The contractor shall maintain a clean and debris free site at all times. The contractor shall keep driveways and entrances into and around the work site clear at all times. The contractor shall not use driveways or entrances as employee parking or storage of materials unless otherwise stated. The contractor shall minimize storage of materials and equipment on site.

1.6 GREEN PROCURMENT: Contractor must incorporate “green procurement” principles into the design of their projects. Specifically, consult the EPA’s web site at www.epa.gov/cpg/products.htm for a listing of the products that have been mandated as green procurement requirements for purchases.

1.7 TESTING AND TRAINING: Contractor must perform pressure testing, adjusting and balancing in accordance with manufacturer instructions; ensuring makeup air and exhaust meets space, temperature and mission requirements. Provide all equipment drawings, and owner/operator training with all associated parties ex…HVAC shop, Building Custodian, operators and service techs.

1.8 WARRANTY/SERVICE: Contractor will provide a minimum of a one year warranty.

Warranty will cover repair, service and preventative maintenance during the prescribed warranty time.

SECTION 3: DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND SPECIAL INSTRUCTION

• Demolition and disposal of current exhaust system (if applicable)

• Furnish and install (5) spring hose reels.

• Furnish and install (5) hoses that reach the 60K Tunner exhaust pipe from the hose reel as well as fit the 60K Tunner exhaust pipe.

• Furnish and install all ductwork.

• Furnish and Install all associated electrical wiring

• Furnish and Install separate heated makeup air unit designed to meet space and temperature requirements. Units shall include VFDs.

• Design/build concrete pad for makeup air unit.

• Provide all roofing work (if applicable).

• Install fire and smoke protection device connecting to existing fire alarm panel.

• Provide all fire protection work and remote testing/annunciator panels, in the event of fire system will shut down.

• Install CO and NO2 sensors which automatically turns on the exhaust system in the event that the system was inadvertently left off.

SECTION 4: PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

Day of contract award + 90 days, not to exceed 1 September 2020. Due to funding requirements, contract cannot cross fiscal years.
