737TRG Basic Military Training (BMT)
TacMed Mannequins - Salient Characteristics
1. Background: Basic Military Training (BMT) Trainees receive Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) during their appropriate week of training (WOT). During this training, they are provided a scenario where they are to administer form of medical care on a mannequin, in lieu of placing a tourniquet or other form of medical substance on themselves or their wingman, when practicing or conducting their progress check. During the sixth WOT, trainees arrive for Primary Agile Combat Employment Range Forward Operations Readiness Generation & Employment (PACER FORGE), a simulated combat zone. During their time at PACER FORGE there are numerous scenarios where they are to apply the techniques learned during TCCC on a mannequin.
