STATEMENT OF WORK
TREES, TURF AND IRRIGATION INSTALL
JULY 2023
I. Purpose:
Tuba City Boarding School has a requirement to install (10) new trees, artificial turf in two areas and an irrigation system
II. Contractor Tasks and Responsibilities:
A. Site prep grounds for trees, drainage and turf installation in designated locations.
1) Secure and stabilize turf according to manufacturer’s instructions.
2) Provide proper soil additive (top and under soil), fertilizer and mixture.
3) Level ground when necessary.
B. Trees shall be compatible with existing trees in designated locations.
1) A total 10 trees shall be planted.
2) Tree space measures are 506’ north to south end to utility #3
HVAC/boiler room and 126’ north to south along sidewalk and RTA east building.
C. Install a water drip system from existing water lines for new trees.
1) Shall be controlled with faucet controls.
D. Artificial turf installation dimensions:
1) Main Entrances: (2) Rectangle shapes, 15’x32’and 13’x32 in separate plots
2) Campus Circle: Circular sidewalk 74’ ratio in diameter shall be covered.
III. Period of Performance/Schedule:
A. Period of Performance shall be 120 days from Notice to Proceed.
B. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p. After hours and weekend work shall be arranged with the COR.
IV. Location: Tuba City Boarding School, 307 Main Street, Tuba City, AZ 86045
V. General Requirements:
A. Contractor shall possess liability insurance B. Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits and licenses for this project in accordance with local, state, tribal and federal regulations.
C. Contractor shall provide a layout, shop drawings, schematic and submittals of the tree planting, water drip system and artificial turf installation. Any changes shall be approved by the COR.
D. No alcohol, drugs or tobacco products are allowed on TCBS campus E. Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of the site location which may include installation, fencing, barricades as well as signage to warn employees and the public of the on-going installation work.
F. All materials shall be new and in perfect operating conditions.
G. Contractor shall provide one-year warranty on equipment.
H. Contractor shall be responsible to identify all utilities, overhead and underground lines before any construction can commence.
I. Contractor is responsible for cleanup after each day. Remove all debris onsite during construction of this project. The contractor bears all responsibility for and all associated or related cots with the removal and disposal of all debris.
J. Contractor shall follow all applicable codes, handbooks, regulatory agency requirements that may apply to this project.

3) American Disability Act Code
4) EPA Code Regulations
5) Navajo Nation EPA
6) OSHA Requirements
7) Federal, state, tribal and local codes
VI. Delivery Requirements:
A. Construct the project in an efficient, code-compliant manner that fully meets the project’s performance, cost, and time-line objectives.
B. Administrative services during construction including coordination of product submittals, reviews, and approvals, and coordinating and documenting weekly project status meetings.
C. Coordinate all trades, subcontractors, and equipment vendor personnel on the project.
D. Purchase and manage the delivery and staging of construction material.
E. Provide on-going construction status and completion updates in coordination with the COR.
F. Coordinate with the COR for project inspectors for scheduling outages that impact the campus personnel.
G. Provide Operations and Maintenance materials for system installed.
H. Provide 2-hour user training on all systems installed.
