Sonic Systems, Inc. Ultrasonic Cleaning Tank Requirements

• Design

- Based on existing Sys “A” (original drawing and manufacture prior to electronic record keeping by MFG)

- Ultrasonic Console System

- Single tank, continuous use

- Required for aqueous solution degreasing

• Material of Construction

- Frame – 304 or 316 Stainless Steel

- Tank – 12 ga (min), 316L Stainless Steel

- Top – 12 ga (min), 316L Stainless Steel

- Doors & Panels – 16 ga (min), 316 Stainless Steel

- Lid – 16 ga, 304 Stainless Steel

• Console

- 316L Stainless Steel counter top, 14 ga (min)

- 304 or 316L Stainless Steel side panels and doors

- Approximate overall dimensions; 113” X 54” X 48” high

- Leveling pads, adjustable (3”)

- Lid – 16 ga, 304 Stainless Steel

• Tank

- ID; 65” X 36” X 36” deep o Processing solution volume ~290 gallons

- Radius internal corners

- Overflow weir, 20” height from bottom of work rack

- Support rail for hanging supplied cradles

- Sloping bottom for drain o 2” ball valve at low point drain

- Recessed skimmer spillway on one side at liquid level

- Sump with sludge removal drain o 1” NPT with SS ball valve

- Twelve (12) ¾” female quick disconnects (QDs), 6 per long side, in free-board area.

o Common manifold o Dedicated pump discharges tank solution through any QD (1-12) o Filtered to 10 microns absolute

- Twelve (12) ¼” quick disconnects (QDs), on one short side, in free-board zone o Common manifold o Facility supplied 100 psig gaseous nitrogen

- Low liquid level sensor

- High liquid level sensor

- Hydro-air spray wand o Separate pump

- Stainless steel immersion heater o 4” flang o 316 Stainless Steel o 36 kW o Thermostatically controlled

- Pump & Filtration o 10 HP Stainless Steel Pump o Stainless Steel bag filter type housing o Cartridge filter housing on pump discharge, 10 micron

• Ultrasonic Transducers

- Submersible type o 316L stainless steel, 14 ga o Approximate dimensions, 16” X 15” X 3” o Eight (8) units

- Internally, piezoelectric transducers, vacuum brazed (100% nickel). Note; no epoxy bonded units.

- Combined output – 9600 watts

- Bulkhead mounted at tank bottom

• Ultrasonic Generators

- Remote, solid state

- Rack mounted

- Eight (8) o Frequency 27 kHz +/- 2 kHz random sweep o Variable output o Operating in four (4) independent zones

• Generator Rack Enclosure

- Houses Generators in two enclosures

- Houses Transformer and associated electronics

- Located remote from unit

- ~ 25’ of interconnecting cable

- NEMA-12

• Controls

- Manual push button and switches for system functions

- Manual and automatic valves where applicable

- Digital thermostats

- Digital timers

- System readout via HMI

• System Requirements

- 480VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hz, 90 Amps
