Supply Requirement Provide Materials to Replace Deck and Railing on C6 Pavilion

1. General:

Replace deck and railing on the C6 Pavilion at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee NWR, 10216 Lee Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33473-4797. NAICS code 238350.

1.1 Purpose/End Application:

The purpose of this project is to provide the materials needed to replace the wooded deck and railing at the C6 pavilion. Existing wooden deck material is rotten in many places and requires constant maintenance. Composite decking is needed to provide greater longevity and reduce maintenance costs and safety concerns. Existing railing is wooden stile and rail and will be replaced with wire mesh supported by pressure-treated wooden posts capped by a composite top rail. This is a DM project assigned WO F2023478044.

Worked will be performed on the C6 pavilion which is located on the south side of Lee Rd.

Work will be performed by FWS staff, either Lox’s GAOA Team and/or a MAT Team, during the Fall/Winter of 2023. The pavilion will be closed off in sections while the work is being performed.

2.3 Normal duty hours Monday thru Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information.

2.4 Non-duty hours include week nights, weekends, and Government holidays (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King JR.s’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day).

3.1 Materials will be stockpiled in the shop wareyard until a FWS maintenance team is available to do the work.
