Statement of Work Summary: QPIX 420 Molecular Devices 1 Year PM Service Contract

This Statement of Work outlines the requirements for one year of preventative maintenance services for a QPIX 420 instrument (serial number QP420-0138) located at the USDA-ARS Western Regional Research Center's Foodborne Toxin Detection and Prevention Research Unit in Albany, California. The contractor must arrive on-site within 60 days of award to conduct a pre-inspection assessment of all relevant tubing, software, and parts, excluding consumables. During the 12-month service period, the contractor shall provide one preventative maintenance visit with on-site inspection, relevant parts, labor, technical support, and priority response. All travel costs to the Western Regional Research Center must be included in the quote. The contractor is required to provide written reports following both the pre-inspection and annual preventative maintenance visits, identifying any problems encountered, resolutions implemented, and unresolved issues. Any repairs identified during pre-inspection that fall outside the preventative maintenance scope require a separate repair quote and written approval from FTDP staff before work begins.

The contractor must be a QPIX 420 specialty technician and must coordinate all visits with FTDP staff during weekday business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), with escorted access required. If the service contract is not purchased directly from Molecular Devices, the supplying vendor must be authorized by the manufacturer to provide a manufacturer-recognized support package that includes warranty coverage, annual preventative maintenance, labor, travel, technical support, and priority response. Vendors unable to provide this full manufacturer-recognized support package cannot meet the contract requirements.
