Statement of Work

Elevator Service

Background

The DOI, Bureau of Indian Education, Facilities Operations provides operation and maintenance to all Interior-

Owned Facilities. Elevators are used by staff and students on a daily basis.

1.0 Scope

a. The scope of this statement of work is to provide service to BIE owned elevators on a regularly scheduled basis during normal working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AAM to 4:30 PM. (except scheduled holidays). Maintenance to all elevators located in BIE Owned facilities.

1.1 Description of Tasks

a. The Contractor shall furnish a licensed elevator personnel to ensure the expeditious accomplishment of the work on a monthly or semiannual basis. Additionally, the contractor shall furnish all services, materials, equipment, tools, and travel required in connection with this work.

b. The Contractor shall examine elevator equipment for optimum operations. Lubricate and make adjustments covering all components of the elevator system on a monthly basis. Ensure that elevators provide maximum performance and safe operations.

1.1.1 Service Elevators

Provide preventive maintenance on a monthly basis to the following elevators and locations:

Building #181 Dover Ser#E68992 Hydraulic Passenger

Building #90 COtis Ser#32486 Hydraulic Passenger

Building #90 Dover Ser#EA3854 Hydraulic Passenger

Building#89 ThyssenKrupp Ser#EV9719 Hydraulic Passenger

a. Elevators shall be inspected monthly, annually, and quarterly along with associated machinery in accordance with the elevator manufacturer's recommendations and shall include the applicable preventative maintenance tasks included herein.

b. The contractor shall perform monthly inspections, maintenance, repairs, and equipment adjustment services. The Contractor shall proceed to examine, adjust, lubricate and, if conditions warrant as determined by the Contractor, repair or replace parts.

c. Equipment testing shall be performed by the licensed contractor as required by the jurisdiction in which the elevator is located.

d. Provide Maintenance and guidance to the client technical subject-matter experts on the operation and troubleshooting of elevators.

e. Provide on-going support on technical support, maintenance and monitoring.

f. Provide knowledge transfer to operations staff on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

1.1.2 Emergency Call back

The contractor shall provide emergency on-call service twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week as needed

To maintain elevator operation and to respond to elevator outages and elevator emergencies. A qualified repair person shall respond and arrive on-site within 24 hours of notification. The Contractor will receive notification from the Government Point of Contact.

2.0 Places of Performance

Tasks shall be completed on site at the following locations:

a. Turtle Mountain Elementary School, Bldg. A90, B90 & C90, 1209 Gilbert Godon Street, Belcourt, ND 58316

b. Turtle Mountain Middle School, Bldg. 181, 1330 Braves Boulevard, Belcourt, ND 58316

c. Turtle Mountain High School, Bldg. 189, 1350 Braves Boulevard, Belcourt, ND 58316

3.0 Inspection and Acceptance Criteria

a. Acceptance of all services will be approved by the Government Point of Contact provided upon award.

b. Technical correspondence where technical issues relate to compliance with the requirements herein shall be addressed to the Government Point of Contact.

c. All areas that are used for access shall be kept clean and any damage to these areas shall be repaired to match the original condition. When the work is completed, all surfaces in the work area shall be restored to the original condition.

d. The Contractor shall verify all items of work and notify the COR of any discrepancies or concerns prior to performing any work. Prior approval is necessary for such a visit.

4.0 Changes

Only a duly appointed Contracting Officer is authorized to change the specifications, terms, and conditions under this effort.
