Statement of Work (SOW)

For B-52 / MDG Memorial Replacement

Fairchild AFB, WA

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE: The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment and materials required to fabricate and install the B-52 / MDG Memorial with seating benches on each side (Photos in Appendix A).

2. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall complete all work, which includes furnishing all supervision, labor, material, equipment and services, unless otherwise specified herein, required under this contract.

All work shall be performed in accordance with all Federal, State, local laws and regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations and this Statement of Work (SOW).

1. Provide electronic renderings of requested products for final approval by the government prior to ordering and fabrication.

2. Provide government final base dimensions. Government will prepare and install concrete slab prior to memorial installation by contractor.

3. During installation phase of this requirement, care shall be taken to prevent damage to surrounding turf, hard surfaces and irrigation systems. Damage caused by the contractor shall be repaired by the contractor at no additional cost to the government.

4. Purchase, fabricate and install free standing granite memorial. (See Appendix A for concept) Approx. Dimensions: Upright – 6 ft high x 6 ft wide x 6 inch thick, Base: 14 inch deep x 7 ft wide x 6 inch thick.

5. Granite memorial and granite seating benches shall be black or dark charcoal gray in color and shall match each other.

3. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND SERVICES: The government shall furnish site access. In the event of an emergency, dial 911.

4. GENERAL INFORMATION

4.2 HOURS OF OPERATION: Hours of operation are 0700-1630 Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays and any other designated down day. Work can be done at other than the normal hours of operation with the approval of the Contracting Officer. The contractor shall coordinate in advance all hours of work and any service interruptions with Civil Engineering points of contact.

4.2 SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: All personnel employed by the Contractor in the performance of this contract, or any representative of the Contractor entering the government installation, shall abide by all Fairchild Air Force Base security regulations.

4.3 Period of performance shall not exceed 30 days from the date of award. Period of performance may be adjusted if led times are required for materials, but shall not exceed 30 days once materials arrive.
