About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the replacement of a double-stack natural-gas convection oven at Isleta Elementary School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The project involves removal and lawful disposal of the existing oven and installation of a new high-efficiency, high-altitude-configured double-stack natural-gas commercial convection oven suitable for school kitchen operations. The anticipated contract type is Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) with a performance period of thirty (30) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The BIE Facility Manager is Nancy Lewis, and the Construction Project Manager is Nii Andrews.
The scope of work encompasses pre-construction requirements including facility verification, utility assessment, and photographic documentation; submittal of manufacturer specifications, high-altitude calibration certificates, insurance documentation, and safety plans; demolition and removal of existing equipment with proper waste disposal; installation per manufacturer instructions and applicable codes (NFPA 54, 70, 96, 17A, and 101, plus State of New Mexico and Pueblo of Isleta standards); gas pressure testing and leak checks; commissioning and operator training; and delivery of closeout documentation including test reports, warranties, and training confirmations. The new oven shall be configured for the site elevation of approximately 4,885 feet AMSL, with a total input rating of approximately 140,000 BTU/h. The basis-of-design equipment is the American Range Model M-HE DBL Majestic High-Efficiency Double-Stack Gas Convection Oven or approved equal. Work must conform to manufacturer instructions and maintain compatibility with existing hood and fire-suppression systems without requiring modifications to building utilities or systems. On-site installation shall not exceed three consecutive working days unless approved by the Contracting Officer. Final acceptance requires successful operational testing, high-altitude documentation, gas pressure and leak test certification, electrical verification, hood capture and fire-suppression compatibility confirmation, and operator training completion.
