About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the replacement of vehicle barrier gates for the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. The project requires installing new custom-manufactured gates at three compound entry points (North Gate, Main Gate, and South Gate), with each gate spanning 26 feet and featuring Double Drive Cantilever ¼ wall steel frames with corrugated aluminum panels. Key deliverables include installing new HySecurity Drive Rails, 4" Square Cantilever Rollers, welded couplings, and powder coating all new gate materials brown. The contractor must maintain the existing vehicle barrier and stopping capabilities, coordinate base access with the 6th Security Forces Squadron, and ensure all workers have clean criminal records. The project is a one-time installation with specific requirements for gate dimensions, materials, and functionality, with the primary performance location at 8632 Marina Bay Drive on MacDill AFB.

Statement of Work Entry Points Vehicle Barrier Gate Replacement

Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) MacDill AFB, FL

Description of Services Required.

JCSE requires replacement of vehicle barrier gates at all three compound entry points.

Gates located on inside of both sides of each compound entry points, connected to HySecurity Slide Driver Operators, Model 222 E ST, which will remain in place and do not require replacement. Entry points are 26 ft. across. When closing, gates meet in the middle of the entry point, with one side of the gate having a welded-on steel coupling that the end of the opposite gate closes into for the North and South Gates. The Main Gate has a steel beam buried in the center of the entry way, separating entry and exit lanes, for which gates on each side close into. Gates consist of Double Drive Cantilever ¼ wall steel frames with corrugated aluminum panels attached to the front side of the steel frame facing the main roadway outside the JCSE Compound. (See attached gate photos for exact configuration and setup)

Measurements of gates

Main Gate (center) and South Gate (Same measurements)

Steel frames: H – 5 ft. 9 in. L – 24 ft.
