Statement of Work
Installation of Dock Locks
1. Requiring Locations:
DLA DISTRIBUTION SUSQUEHANNA PENNSYVLANIA
BUILDING 2001, 732, 56, 57, 58, 59
NEW CUMBERLAND, PA 17070
2. Background:
Building 2001 has a 1.7 million SF footprint. We have around 113 operational truck bays used daily to receive and ship out material every day. We have multiple doors with a Dock Lock system, they provide employee safety and prevent unwanted equipment damage from unauthorized trailer separation.
3. Purpose of this Requirements Document:
Install 5 Dock Locks and required control boxes and communication lights for proper operations at designated buildings: Bldg. 2001 doors 153, 254, 256, 258, and 259.
4. General Requirements:
Scheduling of work must be made in advance to assure no interference to DDSP’s workload.
Contractors must be vetted through our DBID system before entry of the base. Contractor must comply with all DDSP’s Safety requirements. Contractor must comply with DDSP’s Security requirements. Contractors must comply with DDSP’s Fire Department safety requirements and call for a fire permit before any hot work is performed.
5. Contractor Responsibility:
Contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to accomplish said work. Contractor will also ensure that all work is fully documented and meets NEC and NFPA requirements. All conduit must be rigid threaded. Contractor must comply with DDSP’s work schedule. Contractor will mount and install Dock Lock, control box, interior and exterior communication lights. All existing functions must work after installment. Contractors are responsible for cleanup when job is completed.
6. Warranty Coverage:
5 years parts and 2 years labor.
7. Manuals:
Hard copy manuals must be provided.
8. Delivery Schedule:
Coordination made between vendor and DDSP Maintenance Management.
