Packaging, Packing and Shipping Instructions.

Packaging: All items under this order shall be new, not refurbished and should be boxed by manufacturer with the proper packing or shipping labels annotated on the box. The government will not accept any item that is not boxed by manufacturer.

Packing: All items must be packed according to manufacturer’s shipping instructions and labels on the box. Examples below:

Refrigerators should not be laid on its side or upside down as this could cause damage to the compressor unit. The image of a label on the packaging of items not to be packed on its side or upside down as show in figure 1-A ; “This End Up”.

Depending on weight, height, width and method in which the manufacture packaged the item depends on how it should be packed and or shipped in the containers. Many shipping or packing symbols have more than one meaning or guidance as shown in figure 1-B which has three; “THIS SIDE UP- DO NOT STACK-DO NOT CRUSH”.

When items are stackable but have a limit has to exactly how high it can be stacked the symbol on the item would indicate the maximum number.

Figure 1-A: Shipping Symbol “this end up”

Figure 1-B: Shipping Symbol “THIS SIDE UP-DO NOT STACK-DO NOT CRUSH”
