Statement of Work International Organization for Standardization 45001: 2018 Occupational Health and Safety

Audit Services and Surveillance for Anniston Army Depot, Alabama

29 February 2024

1.0 INTRODUCTION

This Statement of Work (SOW) will encompass International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management systems audits and registrations for Anniston Army Depot (ANAD). The scope of registration includes heavy track vehicle maintenance and fabrication. To maintain ISO 45001:2018 certification, ANAD requires an International Accreditation Forum (IAF) certified ISO 45001:2018 registrar service to provide five (5) surveillance audits and one (1) reassessment audit, for a total of six (6) audits across a three (3) year contract period by certified ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditor(s).

2.0 BACKGROUND

ANAD is an Army installation with heavy industrial operations registered under International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 45001:2018 OH&S management systems. ANAD is the only Army depot capable of performing maintenance on heavy-tracked combat vehicles and their components. Currently, the high-risk industrial installation employs approximately 2400 individuals. There is an industrial complex in the southeastern portion of ANAD where the audit would focus. ANAD is over 15,000 acres, however, the area that contains approximately 60 buildings that would be the focus of the audit is within an approximately 1,500-acre area.

In 2019, ANAD transitioned from Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OSHAS) 18001:2007 to ISO 45001:2018 certification and has maintained certification since that date. Initial certification dates for ISO 45001:2018 follow:

Original Registration: 21 August 2019

The current certificate of conformance to ISO 45001:2018 has been issued by International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and certified by Orion Registrar, Inc and is valid until 20 August 2025. No major non-conformances have been issued in the past three

(3) years. ANAD currently holds certificate number 1025015 and operates an OH&S management system which complies with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 for the following scope:

The management of health and safety hazards associated with the repair and refurbishment of armored vehicles, artillery pieces, vehicle components, light weapons, ammunition, and conventional munitions for the Department of Defense.

This certificate was issued on 5 July 2022 and expires on 20 August 2025. To maintain ISO 45001:2018 certification, ANAD requires an IAF certified ISO 45001:2018 registrar service to provide five (5) surveillance audits and one (1) recertification audit. The recertification audit shall be performed during the option one (1) year period.
