Statement of Work Bureau of Reclamation- Upper Colorado Region- Albuquerque Area Office Socorro Field Division- Service of one 2004 D7 Dozer Transmission Replacement with Reman Transmission.

Foreword The Bureau of Reclamation, Socorro Field Division located in Socorro, New Mexico has determined a need for repairs on a Caterpillar D7 Crawler Type Tractor (Dozer). The following paragraphs define the requirements for the equipment and services to be supplied under this procurement.

Product Requirements and Features Submittals A. Offerors shall submit with bid the following information:

(1.) Caterpillar D7 Crawler Type Tractor

i. Remove and install reman transmission.

ii. Remove and replace with new torque converter.

iii. Remove and replace with new oil cooler.

iv. Remove and replace with new all necessary O rings, bolts, gaskets, and seals as required.

v. Provide necessary core credits to government for torque converter and transmission.

vi. Function test reman transmission as required before government picks up.

Substitutions A. If equipment or materials required by these specifications become unavailable, because of manufacturer/Government priorities or other causes, substitute equipment or materials may be used.

B. Offeror shall state in the substitution request the following:

(1.) Purpose for substitution.

(2.) Describe in detail the equipment or materials being substituted and how they meet or exceed these specifications.

C. Specifications determination as to whether substitution will be permitted and as to what substitute equipment or materials may be used shall be final and conclusive.

D. If approved substitute materials are of less value to the Government or involve less cost to the Contractor than specified material, a contract adjustment will be made in favor of the Government. Where the amount involved or the importance of substitution warrants, a deductive modification to the contract will be issued.

E. No payments more than prices offered in the schedule will be made because of substitution of one equipment type or material for another or because of use of one alternate equipment type or material in place of another.

Workmanship A. Accurately manufacture, fabricate, and install materials in accordance with best modern practices and requirements of these specifications, notwithstanding minor errors, or omissions therein.

Warranty Equipment supplied under these contract specifications shall be under warranty where applicable to be free of such defects in workmanship as appears under normal use, service, operation, and when owned by the original purchaser.

A. Minimum Warranty Period: One (1) year after the Government has accepted equipment or materials at F.O.B. destination.

Period of Performance Period of performance for this service shall start upon notification of award and extend out no more than six months from award date.

Delivery and Setup B. It shall be the responsibility of Socorro Field Division located at 2401 State Rd 1, Socorro, New Mexico 87801 to deliver the equipment to the Vendors location within the State of New Mexico. When the Vendor has completed repairs, Vendor shall contact Socorro Field Division Manager and COR. Socorro Field Division personnel will then pick up the completed equipment from Vendor’s location upon successful inspection of the repairs and deliver back to Socorro Field Division. Socorro Field Division’s normal business hours of Monday thru Thursday 7:00am – 5:30pm. (Special arrangements can be made on Friday if given 24hrs notice).
