About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for scale calibration services at DLA Distribution Puget Sound, Washington. The contractor shall provide calibration services for all scales located at the facility, including bench scales, floor scales, and hanging scales used for weighing materials and products. Calibration services must be performed in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards and applicable military specifications. The contractor is responsible for scheduling calibrations, maintaining calibration records, providing calibration certificates, and ensuring all scales meet accuracy tolerances before being returned to service. Services must be available on an as-needed basis with response times specified for urgent calibration requirements.

The SOW establishes performance standards requiring the contractor to maintain a current inventory of calibration weights and equipment, perform both initial and periodic calibrations, and conduct calibration verification tests. The contractor must provide detailed documentation including calibration certificates that certify compliance with NIST traceable standards, maintain a calibration tracking system, and report on the status of all scales at the facility. Quality assurance requirements include verification of calibration accuracy, handling and storage procedures for sensitive equipment, and coordination with DLA Distribution personnel. The statement of work does not specify contract duration, pricing terms, or other transactional details within this document alone.
